Welcome to Gooofan Nexus! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Gooofan’s platform, accessible via the web and mobile apps. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue using our services.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: Refers to Gooofan’s web and app services, including e-commerce, real-time chat, and content-sharing features.
  • User: Any individual registering or interacting with Gooofan, categorized as:
    • Star: Verified public figures or creators offering products or content.
    • Fan: General users who purchase, resell, or engage with various features of the platform
  • Content: Includes text, images, videos, products, and other media uploaded or shared on Gooofan.
  • Gooofan Wallet: A virtual wallet for managing payments, purchases, and tokens.
  • Transactions: All monetary exchanges and token-related activities occurring on Gooofan.

2. User Accounts

  • Stars: Must verify identity with documents and prove public notability.
  • Fans: Register with basic details (name, email).
  • Responsibilities: Users must maintain account security; fraud or misrepresentation may result in suspension or termination.

3. Registration Flow for Gooofan Partners (Stars)

To become a Gooofan Partner (Star), applicants must provide additional information:

  • Notability Confirmation: Social media links, websites, or news articles to prove public recognition.
  • Identity Verification: Valid national ID, passport, or driver’s license.

All applications are manually reviewed to ensure authenticity and prevent impersonation.

3. Features and Functionalities

  • Real-Time Chat: Users can engage in live communication with each other or Gooofan support. To delete a message, triple-tap it, and it will be permanently deleted. Message status indicators:
    • No Tick: Recipient offline.
    • 1 Tick: Message delivered but unread.
    • 2 Ticks: Message read.
    • Red Dot: Message not delivered.
  • Star Updates: Weekly, monthly, and yearly highlights include most-sold products, highest-value sales, and rewarded Stars.
  • Product Resale: Fans can resell purchased products with ownership history, ensuring authenticity.
  • Music Sharing: Stars can upload music to the platform. Fans or Stars can share and listen to music with others in real-time via tokens through the message area.

5. Selling and Buying

  • Payments: Supported via Gooofan Wallet, mobile money, debit/credit cards, and international gateways. Transaction fees: 25–40% for Star sales, 10–15% for resales.
  • Star Posting: Stars must describe products accurately, including condition, event/moment, timeline, and story.
  • Fan/Star Purchasing: Products may be purchased using Gooofan Wallet or supported gateways.

6. Delivery Methods

  • Self-Pickup: Buyer collects within 7 days. After 7 days, items may be retrieved and refunds unavailable.
  • Bike: Available in Dar es Salaam for packages under 100kg.
  • Bus/Ferry: Across East Africa; buyer collects from courier station.
  • Airplane: International via UPS, DHL, FedEx. Buyer calculates and pays courier directly or via Gooofan.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are available only if:

  • Payment succeeded but order creation failed.
  • Delivered product is different from what was ordered (must be reported within 24 hours).
  • Order was not delivered to the buyer’s chosen courier. (If the courier loses the product after confirmed dispatch, Gooofan may not be liable but will provide support.)

8. Gooofan Wallet and Transactions

  • Features: Users can deposit, withdraw (minimum $500), and make purchases.
  • GTN Tokens: Non-refundable, expire after a set period, usable for music and premium features.
  • Security: Unauthorized transactions must be reported immediately.

6. Content Sharing and Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: Users retain ownership of uploaded content but grant Gooofan a license for promotional and operational use.
  • Prohibited Activities: Content must not infringe copyrights, promote illegal activities, or violate community standards.

7. Community Guidelines and Responsibilities

  • Users must respect platform standards by avoiding harassment, hate speech, and fraudulent practices.
  • Products listed must comply with laws; counterfeit or stolen items are prohibited.

8. Modifications and Termination

  • Gooofan reserves the right to modify terms or suspend accounts for violations.
  • Users will be notified of major changes to these terms.

Community Guidelines

To ensure a safe and positive environment for all Gooofan users, you must adhere to these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning, and may be reported to law enforcement.

Gooofan Has Zero Tolerance For:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any content that exploits or endangers minors is strictly prohibited. We will report all instances to the NCMEC CyberTipline and relevant law enforcement immediately.
  • Harassment & Bullying: Do not threaten, bully, or harass other users.
  • Hate Speech: Do not promote violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, or other protected characteristics.
  • Graphic Violence: Do not share violent, graphic, or gory content.
  • Illegal Activities & Regulated Goods: Do not use Gooofan to facilitate or promote illegal activities, including the sale of stolen goods, counterfeit items, or illicit substances.
  • Sexual Exploitation & Solicitation: Do not proposition or solicit sexual acts, or offer compensated sexual partnerships.
  • Spam & Scams: Do not spread misinformation, run phishing schemes, or spam other users.
  • Impersonation: Do not impersonate other individuals, brands, or entities in a misleading or deceptive manner.
  • Intellectual Property Theft: Do not post content that infringes on someone else's copyrights or trademarks.

How to Report Violations

Help us keep Gooofan safe. If you see something that violates our guidelines, please use the in-app reporting feature to alert our safety team immediately.
